Butterfly Lovers (2008)
Butterfly Lovers (2008)

Earlier today, I went to Cathay Cineplex together with some of my friends to catch this movie.

The plot follows closely in relation to the original story, Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai (梁山伯與祝英台).
The big difference would be that this is a martial arts version whereas the original one was about scholarship.

I haven't watched/seen/read the original novel yet but I'll probably find some time to do so.

Anyways, around 10 minutes or so after the movie started the theatre sound system encountered some problems. -_-
There was no sound for like 2 minutes, just plain subtitle reading. (bloody hell, I want my money back!!!)
Then almost everyone in the theatre went "ooii!! oiii!! *points*".

The fighting scenes were pretty fulfilling but very short. Even though I know it was a show about martial arts but it's pretty unrealistic that a guy can still jump from roof to roof after being shot twice on the back.

Overall, the show wasn't as touching as I expected it to be and the flow of the movie wasn't very consistent.
I'll only recommend this to anyone who just watches movies for fun.

Recently, I have to wash my hair more than once a day everyday due to the rain. But it's much easier to sleep when it's raining ne?

Anyways I got to watch this not-so-new movie called "The Accuracy of Death" aka "Sweet Rain" recently.

死神の精度 (Sweet Rain)

The plot is about a Shinigami (Takeshi Kaneshiro) who approaches his "subjects" seven days before they die from an unexpected accident.
His job is simple; To decide whether or not to let his "subject" live or die.

I like how he has a black dog which can somehow communicate with him non-verbally, at the same time showing his humor.

...

So what do you think of death?

Mango-fish wrap set!The first hectic week of school is already over.

I've already purchased most of my notes.
(except DNC's which is currently out of stock)

I had dinner over at LJS over the weekends and tried their "new" mango-fish wrap set.
Well it's not really new but I heard it doesn't appear on the menu half the time.

Mango and Fish!
Mango and Fish!
There's a slight mango taste on the fish so it tasted kind of weird at first.
But overall it's pretty good, but I probably wouldn't go for it again.

Speaking of food.. I was pretty much caught up in this "wormy" situation today.

For the safety of my blog's readers, I suggest to not continue reading the rest of the post if you have Scoleciphobia.

A possibly spoilt lollipop?
A possibly spoilt lollipop?

Don't ask me why but this lollipop looks sooo suspicious.
It might be bacteria infection or whatnot but I think it's seriously damn gross.
I will be staying away from cream/milk lollipops for quite a while.

Wormy wormAnyway I ordered a plate of chicken rice in one of my school's canteen earlier this afternoon.

Due to my sharp eyesight and quick senses, I tossed this tiny worm, which was spotted on the plate, aside.

If you wanted to know what initially was going to happen to the "should-be-already-dead-before-i-found-out" worm.. we actually wanted to bury it in the chilli sauce. lol. But I decided not to.

The incident kinda blew my appetite off for lunch, so I didn't finish it.

Chicken burger
Chicken burger from you-know-where

Of course hunger still will strike so I had to settle on a burger instead.

哇莎比汉包!It's the... unpleasant burger that everyone has been talking about!

After trying it this morning, I think that the burger's not that bad afterall.
The nasty feeling only comes at the last few bites.

You should be fine as long as you can tolerate mild wasabi-ness otherwise dont try it.
Don't say I didn't warn you!

I didn't get to try the wasabi fries because they didn't have fries in the morning but oh well.

Don't worry, I'm not doing free advertisement for them and neither am I getting paid for posting about this. I just felt like blogging about it.

The second semester has just begun, my new timetable is pretty slick except for fridays.

Also I'll have to start buying notes soon but the school bookshop is always packed ><

Still want some?
This might be a bit slow, but I didn't have time to blog about this until now.

Thanks to the melamine china milk powder incident, several other china products have been found to be contaminated as well.

I can't believe the Big White Rabbit Milk Candy that I've been eating since I was young was one of the listed products.

Now we will have to watch out for products that are made in china when shopping for food products.

Who knows in the distant future someone may discover that our favorite soft drinks all along contained a type of chemical that will slowly depletes your life span, blah blah..

I finally managed to complete my first 100% custom designed blog skin.
(coded from the scratch using notepad, 11~12 hours including drawing, colouring, major editing, etc)

I used simple presets for my previous layouts so I didn't feel as much accomplishment as I did with this piece ^^'

In case you were wondering whatever happened to all my previous posts, the truth is.. I ate them had them painstakingly safely stored away.

It's because I seriously think this new layout deserves a 'brand new' blog. But I'll still be keeping this domain for good.

Blehh.. I need a break.
